- SLOVENIA: Great success for the InnoCité national public session on Town Centre Management in Koper on 22.11.2010! Event came to the first page of the main regional newspaper "Primorske Novice" and on a full internet page.22.11.2010:
Workshop on the programme of priority actions for retailors and other business actors of the town center Koper, with the following agenda:
- Presentation of the results of the Innocite project;
- Presentation of Town Centre Management, implemented in the Municipality of Ljubljana,
- Presentation of an example of good practice from the city Hollabrunn in Austria, where the business actors of urban centre and the Municipality work together and they have achieved very good results;
- Presentation of the position and activities planned in the Municipality of Koper; related to the management of the city centre.
- In the second part of the event a program of future activities and priority projects for TCM has been presented and refined. The programme should contribute to the attractiveness of the city-centre for residents and tourists. The draft programme is based on the findings of the project InnoCité (analysis based on surveys, SWOT analysis). In the closing session participants had the opportunity to make comments and suggestions on the draft document.

- Modern and sustainable architecture has the potential to put small towns on the map!Lower Austria organises a field trip for stakeholders to Vorarlberg on 25th (departure in the evening), 26th and 27th August 2010. Some small towns in Vorarlberg are the location of very innovative modern buildings, which combine old building traditions in the region with a very modern approach. Some of the buildings have earned prizes. The excursion will be held in German.

- Invitation and registration Form InnoCité pilot-sites' Forum on 17-18th June 2010The objective of this event is to create direct exchanges between pilot sites involved in the InnoCité project in order to share experiences, implemented actions, good practices in the field of new governance. It will also be the opportunity for the InnoCité project partners to exchange with other InnoCité-related EU projects.
This event is targeting InnoCité European pilot sites, their local partnership, experts, public authorities such as chambers of commerce, and private bodies like shopkeepers' associations, etc.
The 9 InnoCité places of experimentation spread over 7 territories of the Alpine space are:

- Slovenian pilot site Koper SWOT and priority actions meeting on 9th Dec 2009On 9th December 2009, our Slovenian partner, RRC Koper, organized a workshop with Koper city local stakeholders. It is an important event that is the result of the work realized since May 2009. Between May and September 2009, RRC Koper has been realizing surveys to local shopkeepers on “retail and service activities in Koper town-centre” (Position of business actors), and to local households on the role of Koper in a transnational urban network. It also obtained data on business premises in the Koper town-centre via the real estate register.
As formerly announced during the Salzburg transnational meeting, the 9th December workshop is the occasion to officially present the surveys’ results to local stakeholders, to refine SWOT elements for Koper pilot-city’s general functionalities, and finally to define priority action fields. 22.10.2009

- Excursion of the Knowledge-Network „Innocité” Lower Austria 1st October 2009Identity and a clear image, these are characteristic features of successful cities. We found three examples in Lower Austria and organised a bus-excursion on October 1st 2009. About 40 participants took part and we were very proud to also welcome our partner from Salzburg. Amstetten – the city positions itself as a shopping mall for the region Waidhofen/Ybbs – successfully filled empty spaces with new shops and gastronomy Haag – has a clear image as an active city full of cultural life. 12.08.2009

- Town of Lure participative method now onThe Mayor of Lure (pilot site of Franche-Comté Region), Mr Eric HOULLEY, who met the association CentreNeuVille is currently working on the establishment of a steering committee with local stakeholders in order to work on a shared vision for the future of his city. This local committee would be composed of public and private actors from the local, regional administrative and socio-economic sectors. A first working meeting for the setting up of this committee in the form of a video, takes place on June 15th at Lure City Hall. The official launch of the InnoCité participatory method of Lure is to intervene during the summer, after deliberation by the City Council. Congratulations to the Lure InnoCité team!
